It's no secret Blake Griffin is having an extremely disappointing season. If you have him on your fantasy team, you know all too well how frustrating the talented big has been this year. Griffin, who was averaging 24.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game just two seasons ago, is putting up career lows across the board. His 12.2 points per game are the lowest of his career while shooting only 36 percent per game. That might explain the number that looks so surprising at first glance. That being said, Blake would get many matchups better than this one.
The Brooklyn Nets have been a horrific team with the Big Three on the defensive end. Brooklyn is giving up over 118 points per game, the third-worst mark in the NBA. The Nets are also second-worst in the league giving up 51.6 points in the paint a night. Not like Kevin Durant is an intimidating defender, but having him out gives you one less seven-footer on the floor while shortening your rotation, so it's definitely not a positive.
Blake has shown some flashes of past glory this season, putting up a game of 23 a few weeks ago against the Lakers' stingy defense. Griffin also had a season-high 26 point-effort around the start of the year.
